Roman Reigns Reacts To Big E's WWE Title Win

At least Big E won't be tormenting Paul Heyman on SmackDown anymore...

Big E was crowned WWE Champion on last night's episode of Raw, cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Bobby Lashley following the now-former champ's successful defence over Randy Orton.

The New Day man called his shot several hours before the show hit the airwaves. Prior to his, him challenging for the WWE Title was a surprise, given that E has spent the past few months tormenting Roman Reigns' manager, Paul Heyman, with the prospect of cashing in on Reigns' Universal Championship.

With Big E seemingly in his rearview now, Reigns has posted a straightforward tweet in response to the title change:-

Roman has been Universal Champion for over a year now. Taking the belt from The Fiend at Payback 2020, he has since mounted 15 successful defences, with Daniel Bryan, Edge, and John Cena all amongst his conquests. Who will end up defeating him remains the big question. E had been pegged as a potential candidate prior to last night, though this is presumably off the table for now.

Brock Lesnar will likely be Reigns' next Universal Title opponent, having challenged Roman on last week's SmackDown. WWE is yet to confirm a date, however.
