Ronda Rousey To Appear At WWE Wrestlemania 31?

Rumours are swirling about this year's Wrestlemania and its connection to MMA - and the latest name to be added to the hat is women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, following word about a possible Chael Sonnen/Wanderlei Silva connection to the WWE. Several MMA and wrestling news outlets have begun to report on the possibility of Rousey showing up at Wrestlemania 31, possibly with her "Four Horsewomen" stable in tow. The news likely stems from comments made by Jim Ross. Good Ol' J.R. suggested on his blog recently that Rousey and her girls would be a great spectacle for the WWE, and an easy invite. After all, they have appeared, on camera, at a WWE event in the past, and garnered a lot of press for the promotion. There's a number of reasons an appearance by Rousey, with or without her group, would make sense. For starters, she's a well-known wrestling fan who chose her nickname, "Rowdy," because she was a fan of Roddy Piper. She turns heads where ever she goes, and is one of the UFC's biggest stars currently. She's in the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and has two movies coming out this year, including the seventh movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. Her upcoming bout with Cat Zingano is her most anticipated fight since her rematch with Miesha Tate, and it comes at the end of February. If she wins, she'll be riding a career high, and probably between fights when 'mania hits, meaning she'd be available, have a movie to promote, and no doubt eager to further her career. Of course, she's under contract with the UFC, but Dana White has been pretty lenient with Ronda Rousey, who after all made him change his mind about women fighting in the promotion, and whom he seems to have a solid relationship with.
