Rumour: Batista Coming Out Of Retirement For WWE Super ShowDown?

'The Animal' could be tempted by some of that sweet Saudi money.

Batista quietly retired from professional wrestling in the aftermath of his WrestleMania 35 loss to Triple H, having finally been given the opportunity to sign-off on his in-ring career the way he wanted. Now, less than a year later, it looks like 'The Animal' might be on his way back to the squared circle.

Why? Because money talks, and WWE's Saudi Arabian shows provide the sweetest payday in the business.

A new report from EWrestlingNews.com links Batista with a spot in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 on 27 February. AJ Styles, Andrade, Bobby Lashley, Erick Rowan, R-Truth, and Rusev have already been announced for that clash with more expected to follow. The winner will walk away with the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy.

As with all rumours, take this with a pinch of salt. Batista's acting schedule makes him a busy, busy man, and he seemed grateful for the opportunity to end his wrestling career on his own terms last year, after that excellent Triple H feud. Regardless, if you're a big name with a storied past in WWE, you'll always be linked with a spot on these Saudi cards - no matter how long (or short) you've been retired.
