Rumoured WWE Extreme Rules 2019 Opponents For Aleister Black & Shinsuke Nakamura Revealed

Who will finally answer Black's request for a fight?

Shinsuke Nakamura Finn Balor

The future opponents for Aleister Black and Shinsuke Nakamura have been revealed, with Nakamura appearing to challenge Finn Bálor for the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown Live this week, whilst Black is set to face Cesaro - according to @WrestleVotes on Twitter.

Black, who has been issuing an open challenge for competition in weekly vignettes since his partnership with Ricochet concluded, is rumoured to be facing Cesaro at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view. The former NXT Champion hasn't wrestled on WWE TV since April, and fans are clamouring to see him in singles action on SmackDown Live, with many reacting positively to the news that he could challenge Cesaro next month.

Nakamura meanwhile took part in the 51-man Battle Royal at Super ShowDown, but also hasn't competed on television since April, his last match being a DQ loss to WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Many are speculating that 'The King of Strong Style' may challenge Finn Bálor for his IC Title after a backstage confrontation, as the Irishman was being interviewed backstage last night.

On paper, the two bouts are beneficial for all involved, and if added to Extreme Rules would undoubtedly improve an increasingly highly-anticipated card next month.
