Samoa Joe Names His Surprising Favourite WWE Match

This is Samoa Joe's favourite WWE match. Do you agree that it deserves his lofty praise?

Samoa Joe's match with Brock Lesnar at WWE's Great Balls Of Fire 2017 pay-per-view lasted a grand total of six minutes. It was short, it was disappointing to some hardcore fans of the Samoan and it didn't lead to a rematch, but Joe still considers it a career highlight.

In fact, Joe told Ryan Satin's 'Out Of Character' podcast that the bout ranks "pretty high" on his "personal favourites" list, and is actually his best WWE memory.

That'll come as a surprise to many.

Joe did also say that a feud opposite AJ Styles comes close, but it's the Lesnar match and build that he cherishes the most - the new NXT enforcer explained that jousting on the mic with Paul Heyman (a man he described as "a brilliant orator") was something he'd wanted to do for years too.

Then, come the pay-per-view, he got to trade blows with one of WWE's biggest stars. That, to Joe, showed how far he had come despite being very much in the twilight years of his pro wrestling career.

Brock was WWE's "top guy" back then, so it meant the world for Joe to get that chance.
