Samoa Joe To Make AEW Dynamite Debut On Wednesday
Joe to battle Max Caster in Owen Hart Foundation Tournament qualifier.
Just days after the news broke that Samoa Joe is #AllElite, we got word that he will make his in-ring debut this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament.
Joe shocked the world when he showed up at the end of Ring of Honor's Supercard of Honor on Friday, saving ROH World Champion Johnathan Gresham and Lee Moriarty from a beatdown by Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. The familiar Tony Khan graphic confirmed that Joe is indeed part of the AEW/ROH family, though it's unclear where he will spend most of his time.
However, we now know that Samoa Joe's first AEW match will take place on Dynamite against "Platinum" Max Caster in a qualifier for the Owen Hart Cup. For Caster, this would be his second Dynamite in a row facing a former ROH World Champion, losing to CM Punk last week.

Samoa Joe was shockingly released from WWE in January as part of a clearing-out of NXT that saw William Regal and Road Dogg also released. For Joe, it was his second release from WWE in nine months, having been axed in April 2021 just days after he did commentary at WrestleMania 37. He was rehired to NXT a couple of months later.
