Saraya Gets Physical In Brawl On AEW Dynamite

New hire doesn't take long to clear up questions about whether she will mix it up.

Since she debuted in AEW two weeks ago, questions have run amok about whether Saraya would actually wrestle or if she would serve in a more managerial or "talking head" role with the company.

After all, the former Paige has not wrestled in nearly five years, since a neck injury forced her to retire from in-ring competition.

But Saraya put some of those questions to bed Wednesday night when she tangled with Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and her cohorts.

Baker cut a backstage promo declaring that doctors had not cleared Saraya for in-ring competition and said that the focus of the women's division could go back on her, adding that it was now her house.

Baker and Saraya accompanied their friends to ringside for a trios match, with Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm and Athena defeating Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb and Penelope Ford. Afterwards, Baker got in the ring and confronted Saraya, leading to the Brit clocking Britt and a hockey fight breaking out.

Saraya scrapped with Baker for a bit before sending her to the outside, then delivered a kick to Rebel to knock her down and out of the ring. It was Saraya's first bit of physicality in a wrestling ring since December 2017, and it could be a serious harbinger of what's to come for AEW's latest female hire.

Here's hoping we see her in the ring in action - provided it's a safe and healthy decision for her - soon.
