Saraya NOT Cleared To Wrestle In AEW (According To...)

Big AEW name delivers notable Saraya proclamation on Dynamite.

Britt Baker
AEW

Dr. Britt Baker DMD wants you to believe that Saraya has not been cleared to compete for All Elite Wrestling.

The former Women's World Champion made this declaration on last night's show. Cutting a backstage promo ahead of a trios match pitting Penelope Ford, Jamie Hayter and Serena Deeb against Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm, and Athena, Baker said that doctors hadn't cleared Saraya in a clear and obvious character move. Afterwards, AEW's announcers pondered who, exactly, Baker had consulted with.

Storm, Willow, and Athena ended up defeating the heels, with Nightingale scoring the pinfall. Britt had been seconding the losing side while Saraya accompanied the babyfaces. A big brawl erupted afterwards, with Saraya getting physical for the first time in close to five years, throwing hands with Baker.

The former Paige has not competed since suffering a reoccurrence of a serious neck injury that had previously sidelined her for an extended period shortly after returning to WWE in December 2017. Let go by the market leaders earlier this year, she debuted for AEW at last month's Grand Slam special.

Dave Meltzer has previously reported that AEW's medical team will ultimately decide if Saraya can wrestle for the promotion or not.
