Sasha Banks Returns To WWE Show, Relations Improving?

Quiet WWE return breeds hope of full-blown Sasha Banks comeback.

Sasha Banks was backstage at WWE's house show in Mexico City on Sunday 30 October.

Dave Meltzer writes in the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online Daily Update that Banks was with her former tag team partner and real-life friend Bayley, attending as WWE's "guest." Afterwards, AAA wrestler Mamba took the duo to a restaurant and bar.

This could be seen as a sign that relations between Banks and WWE have improved - or, in Meltzer's words, "aren't negative right now."

Sasha has been away from the promotion since May, when she and Naomi walked out during a Raw taping, leaving their Women's Tag Team Championship belts on then-Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis' desk. This came following an unproductive meeting over creative issues with now-disgraced former Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. Later that week, WWE announced indefinite suspensions for Banks and Naomi, who were also stripped of their titles.

Meltzer reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that although Banks and WWE had entered negotiations over a new contract, there had been hang-ups. There remains no concrete word on when she might be back on television. Nonetheless, her presence in Mexico City could be a positive indicator.
