Sasha Banks Vs. Nia Jax Added To WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Kickoff

The women of Raw will see action in another contest on Sunday, as Nia Jax versus Sasha Banks has been added to the Royal Rumble kickoff show.

Banks and Jax have been at odds since the Raw after Roadblock: End of the Line. At that PPV, Charlotte defeated Banks in sudden death overtime of an Iron Man match, winning the Raw Women's Championship in the process. The following evening, Banks was in the ring on crutches when Jax attacked her, looking to victimize the wounded former champion in order to make a name for herself.

The attacks continued, with Jax singling Banks out on a number of occasions. On Monday's Raw, Jax scored a dominant win over a local talent and began to address Banks on the microphone, but "The Boss" interrupted her. Banks was still on a crutch, but she used the crutch to attack Jax, then dove out of the ring onto the rising rookie.

The Royal Rumble kickoff show airs live on the WWE Network this Sunday at 5:00 PM ET. Also announced for the preliminary event is a bout pitting Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus against The Club.
