It has emerged that Linda McMahon pledged to spend $18.5 million in the state of Florida on the very same day that Governor Ron DeSantis decreed that WWE was providing an "essential service" through the ongoing global health crisis, allowing them to keep pushing forward with their plans to film new content at the Performance Center.

Local reporter Jon Alba broke it down on Tuesday evening:-

As noted, Linda is running a Super PAC supporting Donald Trump's re-election as President of the United States of America at the moment. She had previously worked for the administration from 2017 to 2019, serving on the Small Business Administration, before resigning to take a leadership role in the America First Action Super PAC.

Stephanie Coueignoux of Spectrum News 13 has also reported that the Orange County Sheriff's Department visited the Performance Center in March and April, informing WWE that they weren't in compliance with Florida's stay-at-home order and would need to shut up shop. Then came the donation pledge followed by the change of heart.

One day later (10 April), Vince McMahon announced WWE was going back to live programming. Even a blind man should be able to see how transparent this whole thing is.
