With IMPACT Wrestling having now clearly established a working relationship with AEW - heck, the IMPACT World Championship is currently around the waist of an AEW talent - Scott D'Amore has teased that we may get to see Deonna Purrazzo and Britt Baker lock horns.

Speaking on Vickie Guerrero's Excuse Me podcast (as per POST Wrestling), the IMPACT executive detailed how not only have fans been pushing to see Purrazzo vs. Baker in IMPACT, but so too has the Role Model herself.

"I got cornered by Britt Baker down there at Jacksonville a few weeks ago and she's like, 'When do I get Deonna?' And I said, 'Hey Britt, come on'. We've always said we have an open-door policy and open to doing it. I mean, you know the deal in wrestling. Sometimes there's a lot of hurdles to jump through, but I think the relationship with AEW has been fantastic."

D'Amore would go on to praise Tony Khan as "a breath of fresh air" and cite how he appreciates the honesty and transparency that Khan brings to the table. He'd also namedrop Nyla Rose as another talent he'd like to see go up against the Virtuosa.

Since returning to IMPACT Wrestling, Deonna Purrazzo has proved herself to be one of the absolute best in the business, with her currently in the midst of her second reign as IMPACT Knockouts Champion. As for Britt Baker, it's been a phenomenal six months for DMD - capped off by her defeating Hikaru Shida to become the AEW Women's Champion.

Purrazzo and Baker have locked horns several times over the years, although the pair haven't competed one-on-one since 2017's ROH Survival of the Fittest show - where Deonna picked up the W.

Interestingly, Deonna Purrazzo will find herself defending her prize against a mystery opponent at this weekend's Slammiversary PPV...
