The Revival's miserable WWE main roster run has continued with news that Scott Dawson has ruptured his right bicep while competing at a live event. Pro Wrestling Sheet first broke the news on Sunday evening, and WWE have since confirmed it via YouTube.

WWE are reportedly considering surgery options, and while the recovery period depends on the injury's severity, this almost certainly means that The Revival's proposed SummerSlam match with The Hardy Boyz is now off the table.

Tests are ongoing, but the best case scenario is that Dawson has suffered a partial tear, which would heal in three to six weeks. If surgery is needed, a full recovery may take four to six months.

There's no word on when or how the injury occurred, but WWE's announcement can be viewed below:-

This is The Revival's second major injury blow in recent months. Their initial main roster push was cancelled when Dash Wilder fractured his jaw in April, and the former NXT Tag Team Champions had only just regained their momentum through feuding with the Hardys. This couldn't have come at a worse time for the duo, whose rotten luck continues.
