Scott Steiner: 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

1. Scott Steiner vs. The Legal System & The English Language

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqT0quOMMBU Out of all of Scott Steiner's legendary battles in the ring, perhaps the most entertaining of all were his wars outside of it. Steiner is a notorious hothead, and had he ever done steroids (he hasn't, because he said so) I'm sure some of that temper could be chalked up to 'roid rage. But since he's been clean his entire life (he has, because he said so), one can only assume his lack of self-control and violent fits of destruction are simple missteps. In 1998, Steiner was arrested for threatening and repeatedly hitting a DOT worker with his car because the man had the audacity to tell him that a highway exit ramp was closed. Apparently the man didn't realize that traffic laws do not apply to Big Poppa Pump. Luckily he was not seriously injured. Steiner was also arrested in 2001 for attacking an EMT during an episode of Nitro. This one was just a mix-up though and charges were dropped when it was revealed that Steiner didn't realize the man wasn't a plant and part of the show. He's had notorious backstage brawls with Diamond Dallas Page and Terry Taylor, and most recently unleashed a 140 character tirade on Twitter against Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan. However, no one has proven to be a more challenging foe to Scott Steiner than the English language. Pro wrestling's history is filled with classic promos and microphone masters. The ability to "talk them into the building" has always been one of, if not the most important aspects of a wrestler's persona. Rhodes, Piper, Austin, Rock, Roberts and Foley are considered some of the all-time greats on the stick. But it can be argued that none have ever been more entertaining than Scott Steiner. This is the man who has given us such classic promos as his math lesson for "Samo Joe" and his shoot promo on Ric Flair where he also railed on the company that paid him handsomely. There's a fun one with Beer Money in TNA where after he fumbles over his words repeatedly he just resets each sentence with a swig of beer. Let's take a look at some of his greatest quotes: "You come out here and try to get the sympy of the people, but you don't get my sympy at all" "See when I have my freaks horizontal, they understand size, they appreciate size, and size does matter. And they know that they don't have to wait for the earth to rotate on a 47-degree axis so the stars can smuck the sky and create a equalax, so they can see the big dipper." "It's not gonna change mah focus on gettin' even with Go-berg for fractionin' my face!" "Now I've wrestled alotta countries!" "I'm one of the most decorated tag teams ever!" Sott Steiner has given us a career full of amazing matches and classic promos. The legacy he's left the business of professional wrestling is being s member of one of the greatest tag teams of all-time, having the largest arms in the world and providing some truly can't-miss moments. He will be remembered as an explosive performer. How explosive? "Just like at Hirojima, when Pearl Harbor bombed the Germans!"
