Scott Steiner: 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

5. The Steiner Brothers vs. Bret & Owen Hart - WrestleFest 1994

Filmed for a TV taping but never actually airing, this match is one of those dream matches that actually happened. These two real-life brother teams possessed a technical acumen largely absent from the majority of American tag team wrestling at the time. They use a nice mix of amateur and pro maneuvers, many of which a large portion of the WWE audiences had not been exposed to up to that point, such as tiger drivers and German suplexes. The entire match feels like the two teams are competing against each other in a very real way in an attempt to outperform the other team. Despite that fact that both teams were booked as faces at the time, the match devolves into a brawl at the end. Officials separate the four men (with a hilarious bit where Gorilla Monsoon rags on Pat Patterson for getting fat) but they each return to challenge each other to continue the fight, before cooler heads prevail and they end it with handshakes and hugs.
