Rocky Romero recently returned to IMPACT Wrestling after a fifteen-year absence, being a surprise entrant in last October's Call Your Shot Gauntlet match during Bound For Glory. He's wrestled five singles matches since, culminating in challenging Ace Austin for the X Division Championship in a match aired on 5 May.
Best known for his stint as Black Tiger IV alongside his pantheon of tag team outings, the 39-year-old has been a mainstay of New Japan Pro-Wrestling since 2010. There, not only is he an ex-IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, but he's held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships a record eight times with three different partners.
In the last few years, Rocky Romero has also taken on the role of colour commentator and manager, the latter of which saw him manage Roppongi 3K to five Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship reigns.
Also announced for Derby City Rumble is the IMPACT debut of KUSHIDA, who faces Rich Swann on night one.
