Current AEW star Serena Deeb shared her thoughts on the company's oft-discussed women's division during Saturday's post-Full Gear media scrum, calling it a growing scene with "so much potential."

With regards to wrestlers coming in from the outside, Deeb said "When you're in wrestling, it only helps you to wrestle other people. It just helps you the more you get in the ring with different people, you become a more well-rounded wrestler."

The current NWA Women's Champion added that AEW's partnership with the NWA is "going to benefit everybody," adding that she believes "fans are really excited about it, and it keeps it very interesting."

Deeb successfully defended the NWA Women's Title against Allysin Kay on Full Gear's Buy In pre-show. Kay is a beneficiary of the aforementioned use of outsiders, having made her AEW debut just days after announcing her release from the NWA. There is currently no word on whether or not AEW has actually signed her.

A post-match face-off with Thunder Rosa means Deeb will soon be wrestling the woman she defeated for the belt for a third time, having previously worked Rosa in AEW and for the UWN.
