The final Raw before the Royal Rumble played host to some major changes to the Rumble match - three superstars from the red brand were added to the contest, while a former WWE Champion was removed from it.

Early in the show, Sami Zayn demanded to be entered into the Rumble match, but Stephanie McMahon told him he had to earn his spot by defeating Seth Rollins. As Rollins was already announced for the bout, he'd lose his spot if Zayn won.

The bout was a back-and-forth contest that saw Rollins finally take control with a Pedigree on the ring apron. When he rolled Zayn back into the ring, though, Triple H's music hit the PA system. A distracted Rollins looked toward the stage, giving Zayn the chance to recover and roll Rollins up for the pin. Needless to say, Rollins was livid, but as of this moment, he's not a part of the Rumble match.

Later in the show, Rusev and Big Cass both announced that they'd be participating in the 30-man bout, meaning that a total of 21 entrants have been announced so far.

The Royal Rumble airs this Sunday at 7:00 PM ET on the WWE Network.
