Seth Rollins Vs. Chris Jericho Announced For WWE Roadblock
PPG Paints Arena breaks match announcement on Twitter.
In an announcement made on Twitter, Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena - the home of December's Roadblock: End of the Line PPV - has revealed that the show will feature a match pitting Seth Rollins against Chris Jericho.
The program between Rollins and Jericho developed from Rollins's feud with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. After Owens won the belt, Rollins turned babyface and emerged as "The Prizefighter's" first challenger. At Clash of Champions, the former architect of The Shield looked poised to capture the championship, but interference from Jericho (and some help from Stephanie McMahon) gave Owens the win. They battled again at Hell in a Cell in the titular match, but Jericho once more helped give his best friend the victory.
Since Hell in a Cell, Rollins has continued to be at odds with both Owens and Jericho, but he's been forced to put his problems aside, at least temporarily - Owens, Jericho, and Rollins (along with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns) will be teaming up at the Survivor Series PPV to take on a Smackdown team in a traditional Survivor Series match.
Earlier in the month, PPG Paints Arena announced that the main event of Roadblock would see Owens defend the Universal Title against United States Champion Roman Reigns.
