The fan that jumped Seth Rollins on last night's episode of WWE Raw has been charged.

ESPN's Marc Raimondi reports that the NYPD has disclosed that 24-year-old Elisah Spencer is being charged with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (disrupting a live sporting event). This is after attacking Rollins during Raw, having jumped the barricade at approximately 9:20 PM ET, ran around the stage, and lept on Seth.

Raimondi notes that Rollins, who rejected medical attention, suffered a swollen lip from the altercation. The former WWE and Universal Champion is yet to comment on the matter publically.

Spencer was apprehended by WWE personnel within seconds of attacking Rollins. Seth was back on his feet soon after, re-assuming his pro wrestling character after the Raw feed cut to him from a replay of his prior beatdown angle with Finn Balor.

WWE issued the following statement on the incident:-

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Despite being jumped on the ramp, Rollins returned later in the show, participating in angles during and following Big E and Austin Theory's main event.
