Sister Abigail Returns At WWE The Horror Show At Extreme Rules

Sister Abigail is back! In Alexa Bliss form...

Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman's non-title Swamp Fight was rife with the expected references and easter eggs at last night's WWE The Horror Show at Extreme Rules pay-per-view, with the bout leaning heavily on Strowman's past as a member of the Wyatt Family.

One of the cinematic bout's most notable moments was the Sister Abigail return. This came moments after 'The Monster Among Men' had set a man alight beside a campfire (!), with a mysterious, robed figure emerging in the distance. Sister AbiBliss then pulled down her veil, revealing her identity, saying that she knows Strowman always wanted to be with her, which lead to Wyatt attacking Braun when he tried to approach the former Women's Champion.

Simultaneously a call-back to Abigail's past and the history between Bliss and Strowman as former Mixed Match Challenge partners (shout-outs to Team Little Big), this was perhaps the Swamp Fight's biggest talking point.

Abigail has been a consistent part of Wyatt's lore from the moment he switched to his old cult leader character. Her spirit is kept alive through the Firefly Fun House's Abby the Witch character today, though this is the first time Abigail has been a proper onscreen character since Wyatt almost wrestled Finn Balor under the persona at TLC 2017.
