Six-Woman's Tag Match Added To WWE Royal Rumble 2017
The ladies of Smackdown face off!
Tuesday's episode of Smackdown saw one more bout added to the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, one which will see all of the bad blood in the brand's women's division come to a head. In a six-woman tag match, Naomi, Nikki Bella, and Becky Lynch will take on Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Mickie James.
The match combines many programs on the brand, some new and some old. First of all, Becky and Bliss have been feuding ever since September, right after Becky was crowned the inaugural Smackdown Women's Champion. Bliss captured the belt last month at TLC, and managed to retain it in subsequent rematches thanks to the help of La Luchadora... who was unmasked as James last week. Meanwhile, on this week's Smackdown, Naomi issued an open challenge to any woman on the roster, and Bliss answered it - but only to insult her, not to fight.
Nikki Bella and Natalya have been at war for weeks, ever since Carmella revealed that it was the Queen of Harts who attacked Bella at the Survivor Series. Since then, Natalya has taken some very personal shots at Bella, and the two women have brawled in a variety of locations. On Sunday, they'll cross paths in the ring.
The Royal Rumble airs live on the WWE Network this Sunday at 7:00 PM ET.
