Ember Moon will challenge Bayley for her SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam on August 11th, after the champion selected Moon as her opponent on last night's SmackDown Live.
Bayley picked Ember Moon after successfully tagging with her against the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. When interviewed by Kayla Braxton in-ring post-match the current SmackDown Women's Champion said:-
"Let me be the first to say that I am so happy that my chapter with Alexa Bliss has ended, because now I can get back to what I have wanted to do all along and that is elevate this SmackDown women's division. I want to face somebody that is worthy of a title opportunity, someone who has charisma, someone that I've never faced before, someone that's dedicated to the championship should I lose, someone..."
Bayley they turned to face her partner, indicating the opportunity would be hers, to which Moon responded with an emphatic, "Hell yeah!"
The SmackDown Women's Championship match is the third title bout on the SummerSlam card, joining Becky Lynch versus Natalya for the Raw Women's Championship, and Seth Rollins challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
One other championship contest that appears to be on the cards is Randy Orton against WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, after Orton pinned the champ on SmackDown last night following a devastating RKO.
