Zaria turned on her now former partner Sol Ruca during a memorable angle on this week's episode of WWE NXT. The turn happened during introductions for Sol's NXT Women's Title bout vs. Jacy Jayne. The champ was being introduced by ring announcer Mike Rome when Zaria blasted Ruca from behind before exiting the ring.

That cleared the way for Jacy to wait on the bell, then beat Sol in just 4/5 seconds.

After the match, Zaria hauled Sol out of the ring and planted her on top of the commentary desk before shouting: "Eat that Sol, bitch". Of course, this was a play on words with the whole Sol/soul thing, but it made for quite the parting line. Regrettably, shocked fans in attendance began chanting for Zaria rather than reacting to the biggest heel moment of her entire WWE career thus far.

It's becoming harder and harder for heels to...heel.

That crowd response didn't totally kill the vibe though. Both Vic Joseph and Booker T put across how disturbing Zaria's actions were, and it was only a matter of time before Ruca landed on either Raw or SmackDown anyway. She turned some heads last year with a match against Bayley, and again during the 30-woman Royal Rumble over in Saudi Arabia last month.

Main roster success is coming for Sol, so WWE had to book a thumping exit for her on the developmental brand. Shawn Michaels and his team certainly did that, and now Zaria is better-placed to work as a top heel going forwards.
