Two WWE Royal Rumble 2022 surprise entrants may have just been revealed...

A couple of spoilers for the upcoming WWE women's Royal Rumble match have just been revealed, with PWInsider's Mike Johnson reporting that Melina and Cameron are planned to return for the 29 January event.

If her return comes to pass, Melina will be making her first WWE appearance since 4 January 2021;s Raw Legend's Night show. She appeared to be on the verge of a comeback the following year, with PWInsider reporting she had signed a fresh contract with WWE, though Melina stated in February 2021 that the two parties couldn't come to an agreement.

Melina has stayed busy over the past couple of years, playing prominent roles in IMPACT Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance.

Cameron, meanwhile, was originally with WWE from 2011 to 2016 and resurfaced in mainstream wrestling through AEW's Women's Tag Team Cup tournament in 2020. She hasn't appeared for WWE since February 2016.

WWE had officially confirmed the following 19 names for the 2022 women's Royal Rumble at the time of writing: Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H., Dana Brooke, Carmella, Queen Zelina, Tamina, Shotzi, Natalya, Aliyah, Naomi, Shayna Baszler, Charlotte Flair, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Lita, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, Summer Rae, Mickie James.
