Star Wars: WWE's Sasha Banks Joins The Mandalorian Season 2
The Legit Boss set to meet Baby Yoda this October.
The world just spun ever so slightly closer to a place where we might just see a Baby Yoda cameo at WrestleMania. Don't pretend you wouldn't be delighted.
That might seem somewhat ridiculous, but The Mandalorian and WWE are about to cross-over in a big way with the news that Sasha Banks has filmed scenes for the second season of the Disney+ show. That revelation comes courtesy of Mat Men Pro Wrestling (via confirmation by ProWrestlingSheet's Ryan Satin) and would put Banks alongside the legendary Shockmaster in terms of Star Wars cross-overs.
The second season of the hugely popular show won't actually hit Disney+ until October this year, but it is already in production. There's nothing concrete on Banks' role or how much screen-time she's going to get but it gives some context to the fact that she's been off-screen with an ankle injury since January 3rd.
There has been talk of more recognisable Star Wars characters appearing in the second season - and possible subsequent spin-off shows - so whether Banks might be playing one of those remains to be seen. It would be slightly odd, though, given that her acting has been limited to her wrestling work - unlike a lot of her fellow roster-members - which makes her a strange pick for the show. But she knows performing and her physical training could mean we'll see a role that leans into that side of her experience?
It's not like Ray Parks' performance as Darth Maul required a great deal of acting...
