Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa could be amongst the AEW wrestlers that leading joshi group Stardom would like for its 30 December show at Tokyo's Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.

This is according to Dave Meltzer. Speaking on the Sunday Night's Main Event podcast, he said that Stardom would love to have Baker and the reigning AEW Women's World Champion for what will be one of the group's biggest shows of the year.

Meltzer's comments come after mentioning in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Stardom was interested in working with AEW. He reiterated on SNME that this is definitely the case, though it doesn't sound like the two parties have held talks yet.

It is unlikely that Stardom will be represented on the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on 26 June, despite operating under the same parent company as NJPW (Bushiroad). This had been speculated following the show's announcement, though Stardom has its own big event, Fight In The Top 2022 ~ Nagoya Top Battle, scheduled for the same day in Japan.

Bushiroad's hope with the 30 December Sumo Hall show is that foreign wrestling fans will already be in town for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14, which starts on 4 January 2023.
