Steve Austin has admitted that he was slinging some live rounds at Kevin Owens during their WrestleMania 38 headliner last year, and the legend is slightly surprised that KO didn't fire some back his way.

'Stone Cold' told Chris Van Vliet's 'Insight' show that he was hyped up for the main event clash, and knew he'd have to bring it if he wanted to look back on the moment fondly. That's why, especially during the first few minutes of the bout, Austin was throwing hands like Mike Tyson in his prime.

Backstage afterwards, he pulled KO aside and said: "Man, I can't believe you didn't throw a receipt". Owens apparently laughed this off, and remarked that he'd been tasked with taking care of the legend out there. That's something Steve appreciated, because he figured he might've gone a little far with those "worked" punches.

They're definitely visible if you go back and watch the match today. Keep an eye on those first few shots to see Austin connect more than once - Kevin Owens, bless him, didn't complain though. He was likely buzzing to be out there with a childhood idol!
