Sting Teases AEW Return...In 2025!

It might not be too long until you see Sting on AEW programming again.

Sting has teased that he'll be in attendance for AEW's All In Texas event on 12 July 2025. Fans shouldn't start getting excited about the thought of the icon hitting the gym and preparing to wrestle though - it's more likely that he'd make a non-wrestling appearance at the pay-per-view to show support.

The Stinger remarked on X that the event will be held "just down the road" from where he lives in Texas. Then, the former WCW great said he'd "be watching from...somewhere". Big pop if AEW convinces Sting to sit high up a skybox overlooking the ring at the Globe Life Field. Even bigger bonus points if they somehow find a way to have him stalk the show from the rafters.

A special structure might need to be built to do that in-stadium, to be fair.

Sting formally retired from the ring following his tag-team match with Darby Allin vs. The Young Bucks back at AEW's Revolution PPV in March 2024. Thus far, he's resisted the urge to make a comeback on TV as a regular character. The legend hasn't even made any cameo appearances.

It looks like that could change next summer. This is a longer build than the one to Starrcade 1997!
