5. Host Of SummerSlam

Another popular role for big name stars who are no longer wrestling is to be the host of a pay-per-view. WWE fans saw this most recently when Hulk Hogan was host of WrestleMania. The Rock was also a past host of WrestleMania. SummerSlam hasn't been as successful with hosts. The Miz is a past SummerSlam. As much of a fan of The Miz that I am, that was disappointing. Giving Sting the role of host at SummerSlam would be like giving him the opportunity to be general manager or authority figure for one night. You may recall that Hulk Hogan, as host of WrestleMania 30, booked the 30 man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Sting would have the power to make booking decisions for the biggest event of the summer. Again, this would be a great non-physical role that would give Sting power to make big decisions in WWE.
