Ricochet says winning the Royal Rumble is one of his primary goals in WWE, and the high-flyer says he "will" achieve it before retiring from the ring.

The former Intercontinental Champ told Sporting News that he'd love to follow in the footsteps of fellow underdogs like Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels by turning heads and surprising people by winning a Rumble. Rico wasn't specifically talking about the upcoming 2024 version of the match though.

He just fancies scoring a Rumble win generally before hanging up his boots.

Ricochet put Logan Paul over during the opening match of last Saturday's bumper SummerSlam 2023 PLE, but he managed to shine throughout the bout too and was booked to lose via sketchy circumstances. The warring pair might even work again in the future (perhaps even at Payback on 2 September?) in some sort of gimmick showdown.

For now, Rico is keen to ride the crest of a wave that's given him way more TV time on Raw recently. January's Rumble might be ambitious, but the flyer stressed that successful underdogs have worked out well for WWE at the event before.
