Tag Team Championship Match Added To WWE Extreme Rules 2020

WWE have added another championship match to this Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

SmackDown tag champs The New Day will go up against the tandem of Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura in a tables match, as confirmed on last night's episode of SmackDown.

After the Swiss Superman defeated Big E with the Neutralizer, he and Nakamura were given the choice to challenge for Kofi and his defeated partner in either a tables or steel cage match. The pretenders picked what might be called the soft option.

Nakamura and Cesaro made a tilt at the blue straps just last week, but it fell apart when all four men got involved in the ring, resulting in a disqualification.

This Sunday's Extreme Rules 2020 card is now as follows:

- Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP for the United States Championship

- Braun Strowman (c) vs. Bray Wyatt in a swamp fight for the Universal Championship

- Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins in an 'Eye for an Eye' match

- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship
