With AAA Triplemania XXX: Tijuana now in the record books, one of the major talking points coming out of that PPV is Taya Valkyrie calling out AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa.

She may not have been in action in Tijuana, but the current AAA Reina de Reinas Champion made her intentions clear that she wants to fight La Mera Mera at some point down the line. Following the five-way contest that saw Rey Fenix unify the World Cruiserweight Title and Latin American Title, Valkyrie hit the ring and teased forming a faction with the Lucha Bros. before then challenging Thunder Rosa.

For her part, Rosa saw this call-out during a signing event and was quick to accept La Wera Loca's offer.

Thunder Rosa and Taya Valkyrie do have some 'previous', with the pair having done battle a total of seven times in all match types over the years. Taya has a 6-1 record in these bouts, and that includes a 3-1 record in singles contests between the pair.

While Valkyrie has the far better record in these matches, it was Rosa who was victorious when the two last squared off - with her toppling Taya at Zicky Dice's Outrageous Paradise earlier this year in the former Franky Monet's first post-WWE match.

Making it quite the busy weekend for Taya Valkyrie, tonight she competes in Nashville, Tennessee at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary, where she'll team with Rosemary to face Knockouts Tag Team Champions Madison Rayna and Tenille Dashwood.
