Texas Death Match Set For Next Week's AEW Dynamite

Moxley vs. Archer is set for Fyter Fest Night 2.

A Texas Death Match, you say? Lovely stuff.

After successfully retaining the IWGP US Championship against Karl Anderson on last night's AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley is now set to defend that same prize against Lance Archer at next week's Fyter Fest Night 2... in a Texas Death Match.

Archer is no stranger to Moxley, to that title, or to a Texas Death Match, of course. In fact, the Murderhawk Monster is the man who Mox defeated back in January 2020 to start his current (and second) reign as IWGP US Champion. And wouldn't you know it, but that title change took place in a Texas Death Match.

Not only have Jon Moxley and Lance Archer fought each other for New Japan Pro Wrestling, mind, for Mox defended the AEW World Championship against Archer last October - in addition to the pair having been involved in two other tag bouts together.

Also announced for next week's AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker will defend the AEW Women's Championship against Nyla Rose, Chris Jericho will battle Shawn Spears in a match where Spears is allowed to use a steel chair, and Orange Cassidy will square off against the Blade.
