As was heavily rumoured last week, the Elite - Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and Matt and Nick Jackson - have re-signed with All Elite Wrestling.

In a combined news report and press release penned by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, confirmation has arrived that all four men have signed new "multi-year" deals, though an exact figure was not specified. This is obviously excellent and welcome news for fans of the stable, particularly since, in the wake of 'Brawl Out', and CM Punk's return to the promotion in June of this year, the fraught political situation cast not inconsiderable doubt over their futures.

Barrasso's piece also features extensive quotes from the Elite and company founder Tony Khan, brief excerpts of which follow.

Khan expressed his delight at the news, stating "The Elite have been so important to the launch of AEW, with the Young Bucks going all in when I first approached them in 2018 about my dream to create an international pro wrestling promotion".

Omega revealed that he elected to stay on in part because "AEW not only allows me to continue doing what I do at a high level, but allows the freedom to pursue some other passions I have in life–which, after nearly 25 years in the ring, have become more and more important to me".

Matt Jackson stated that he felt duty-bound, as the "'E' in AEW and its "DNA" to continue with the promotion - " if you lose the foundation of your home, it eventually collapses". And, in another pragmatic quote, Nick said "If we’re going to be honest the schedule was a huge part of it. I’m not going to lie, the money was a huge factor, too."

Hangman Page also echoed that line - "At this stage of my life the selling point was the schedule" - but all four underscore the idea that they are intent on and passionate about telling more unique stories.

Additionally, Omega and the Young Bucks will continue on as Executive Vice Presidents.
