The Fiend Vs Roman Reigns Could Be WWE WrestleMania 36 Main Event?

The Hound Vs. The Fiend?

Per Wrestlingnews.co's Paul Davis - not on the top tier of the scoops pyramid, so take this with tentative interest - The Fiend is factored heavily into early WrestleMania plans as Universal Champion.

This may all be legitimised, once the events of Survivor Series are in the rearview.

Davis continues, claiming that the Roman Reigns Vs. Baron Corbin feud is an end-of-year placeholder ahead of the big Big Dog push. Vince believes Roman has been sufficiently withheld from the main event picture to avoid the ritual backlash to which his chosen men are subjected. This is sensible, if optimistic: can they move the Royal Rumble to March?

Even if this more estimation that inside knowledge, it's a viable one: with Daniel Bryan set to face the Fiend on Sunday, there are few other options to face Bray Wyatt on the Grandest Stage.

Looking ahead with optimism, one would hope WWE uses the winter months to heat up the Fiend character and rid it of the goofy overtones of red lights and farcical finisher kick-outs - otherwise there'll be more Spears at WrestleMania than Roman numerals.
