The IIconics Split Up On WWE Raw
Peyton Royce and Billie Kay's WWE alliance is no more!
Pour one out for The IIconics, who have been forced to split up after losing to The Riott Squad on last night's episode of Raw.
Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott were successful in a bout stipulating that the winners would receive a Women's Tag Team Title shot while the losers would be made to go their separate ways. This came via roll-up, with Ruby scoring the fall on Billie Kay, leading her and (now-former) partner Peyton Royce distraught.
The IIconics were seen on Raw Underground later in the show, with Royce throwing Kay into a fight with Jessamyn Duke against her will. Billie was quickly sent to the shadow realm via head kick and the segment closed on Peyton grinning, suggesting, perhaps, that she isn't all that upset about splitting from her long-time partner.
Royce and Kay have been a tandem since 2016. They became Women's Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania 35 but struggled to elevate the belts, and have largely been used as an undercard act since dropping them. The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported earlier this month that WWE sees breakout singles potential in Royce in particular.
