It looks like Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross could be added to the previously-rumoured WWE Women's Tag Team Championship bout pitting champions The Kabuki Warriors against The Divas of Doom.

This is according to talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy, who is usually right on the money when it comes to stories like this.

Bliss actually called Asuka and Kairi Sane out over the weekend:-

There's currently no word on how the storyline will be built to incorporate Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Cross, and Bliss, though there is still four weeks of television for WWE to get through on the road to Tampa.

Recent months have seen the Women's Tag Team Championships put on the backburner while Asuka focuses on singles competition. 'The Empress of Tomorrow' has wrestled Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch twice in 2020 and competed in last night's Elimination Chamber for the right to face 'The Man' at 'Mania 36, falling short to the winner, Shayna Baszler.

The Kabuki Warriors last defended their straps at TLC 2019 (15 December 2019). Sane suffered a concussion in that match, forcing some time off, but has been back for several weeks now. She and Asuka have held the straps since October 2019.
