The Miz Calls For Disgraced Indie Wrestler To Be Banned Forever
The WWE Raw star speaks out on Hannibal's disgraceful referee assault.
The Miz thinks that Devon 'Hannibal' Nicholson should be perma-banned from professional wrestling.
The WWE Raw star said as much when speaking to TMZ, who showed Miz a clip of Nicholson's disgraceful spike-assisted assault of referee Lando Deltoro during a World Class Pro Wrestling event this past weekend.
"You don't do that stuff," Miz said. "That didn't look like a mistake. Accidents happen, but I don't get stabbed with like a knife or whatever the guy had."
Deltoro had to be sent to hospital following the incident, which saw Nicholson repeatedly stab his head with a spike, piercing the skin in several locations. Though the referee is expected to make a full and complete recovery, some of his wounds had to be stapled shut.
Nicholson, Deltoro claimed, was too big and overpowering for him to be able to tell him to stop before he slipped into unconsciousness. The aggressor, meanwhile, has claimed in a since-deleted video that he wasn't aware he was causing injury to his victim.
Despite, you know, the blood pouring from his scalp.
World Class Pro Wrestling has banned Nicholson from future shows following the incident. Here's hoping other promotions follow their lead.
