After a chaotic Raw, The New Day are the longest-reigning tag team champions of any kind in WWE history, but they'll be in action again at Roadblock: End of the Line. On Tuesday evening's Tribute to the Troops taping, Sheamus and Cesaro were named the number one contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championship.

The New Day are coming off the busiest day of their entire title reign. On Monday's Raw, the trio successfully retained the belts in a triple threat match against The Club and Sheamus and Cesaro, but an accidental encounter with Stephanie McMahon led the Raw Commissioner to book another defense for the champs. In the main event, they competed in another triple threat bout, defeating the teams of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho to leave the show as champions and later reach the record-setting 479th day of their reign.

Sheamus and Cesaro, meanwhile, earned the opportunity by defeating The Shining Stars, The Club, and The Golden Truth in a four-way tag team match at the show. This marks yet another title match for the tandem, who joined forces after a tie in a best-of-seven series led Raw GM Mick Foley (who had promised the winner a "championship opportunity") to grant them their first bout against The New Day, at Hell in a Cell.
