The Real Reason Brock Lesnar Destroyed Rey & Dominick Mysterio On Raw

WWE could be building to something BIG with this angle.

The scene depicted in the photo above could be set to play out inside a WWE ring if this new report from Lords of Pain is anything to go by.

Writer Tim Rose claims that Brock Lesnar destroyed Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick on last night's episode of Raw as part of an angle that will eventually lead to someone stepping up on Rey's behalf, with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez the saviour. This would then lead to a feud between Velasquez and Lesnar.

It was reported over the weekend that Cain has met with officials from AEW and WWE for contract talks, with NJPW also expressing an interest. That he hasn't actually signed with anyone shouldn't prve a stumbling block, however, with Rose writing that WWE will keep it the Mysterio angle open-ended if terms can't be agreed with Velasquez.

Velasquez destroyed Lesnar in their UFC 121 fight back in October 2010, surviving an early takedown scare to TKO 'The Beast Incarnate' and take his Heavyweight Championship in the first round. One would expect a pro-wrestling match between the two to play out very, very differently.
