The Real Reason THIS WWE Raw Superstar Is Getting A Massive Push

Something huge is in the works for this talented Raw wrestler...

Cedric Alexander has enjoyed an increased role on WWE television over the past few months, and the reason for that is simple: Paul Heyman is a huge fan of the former Cruiserweight Champion.

This is according to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. He correctly asserted that Heyman's fondness for the high-flier is "very clear" on Raw at the moment, thus explaining his renewed push after largely going missing from Raw following his switch from 205 Live in April's Superstar Shake-Up.

Alexander recently became embroiled in a feud with Drew McIntyre, whom he wrestled on last week's Raw. It was a short, concise defeat for Cedric, who faces Sami Zayn in the King of the Ring tournament's first round on tonight's show, meeting the winner of The Miz vs. Baron Corbin should he prevail.

Diving from atop the Raw set when the 29 July episode's Samoan Summit went south provided Alexander's biggest main roster highlight to date. Here's hoping there are many more to come as he's an exciting, athletic in-ring performer with plenty to offer between the ropes, as proven in that firecracker McIntyre match.
