With Cody Rhodes having now stepped aside to allow The Rock to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, WWE has moved to announce a press conference for Thursday featuring those three men and several other talents.

Dubbed WrestleMania XL Kickoff, this press conference will take place from Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on Thursday 8 January. A "free for all to attend" event, this will be open to fans, the media, and anyone else who's in the area and fancies popping along.

As currently advertised, those in attendance at WrestleMania XL Kick will hear from Rock, Reigns, Rhodes, Paul Levesque, Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley, with onside media interviews to take place after the main press conference element of the event.

For those not able to get to Las Vegas, fear not, for WrestleMania XL will steam live on WWE Network/Peacock and be hosted by the Raw duo of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.

Given the huge backlash the Rhodes/Rock switch has received from fans across social media - with various Cody-supporting hashtags dominating X - it should be fascinating to see the reaction of those at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday; be that the fans in attendance or from the superstars themselves.
