The Truth About Raven's AEW Debut

Here's why the ECW legend was on Dynamite last week.

ECW legend Raven caused a stir amongst AEW fans with an unexpected appearance on last week's Dynamite, with cameras catching the former Flock leader sat in the crowd during The Dark Order's focused spots in the tag team title contendership battle royal.

Given his close positioning to Evil Uno, Grayson, and co., this led to immediate speculation that he was the Order's long-teased 'Exalted One,' with the talk strengthening when AEW tweeted about Raven's appearance afterwards. That the heel stable's disaffected cult vibe fit perfectly with Raven's old gimmick further boosted the signal.

Unfortunately for fans of the multi-time WWE Hardcore Champion, it looks like the appearance was a red herring.

This is according to a new report from PWInsider stating that there are no plans for Raven to be unveiled as The Dark Order's leader. The whole thing was done to throw fans off the real scent, and it doesn't sound like Raven will be back in AEW.

All kinds of wild, wonderful names have been linked with the Order's leadership role, including Matt Hardy (whose WWE contract expires on 1 March), Brodie Lee, Diamond Dallas Page, and Christopher Daniels - the group's latest target.
