The Undertaker Reveals If He's Actually Retired From WWE

Was WrestleMania 36 truly the Last Ride for 'Taker?

WWE Network's The Last Ride documentary has offered an insightful look at wrestling's most revered superstar. Delving into the life of 'The Phenom' over the past few years, it gave the WWE Universe a chance to get to know the man behind the hat, the coat and The Undertaker.

The fifth and final installment dropped on the WWE Network this weekend and, like the previous entries, it documented Mark Calaway's journey towards one specific match - this time, it was his most recent bout: WrestleMania 36's Boneyard Match against AJ Styles. And after detailing that journey, 'Taker wrapped up the documentary by shedding some light on whether or not that truly was his Last Ride.

"I believe I’m at a place now, post-Boneyard, which was a hellacious battle against one of the best in the business... It was a powerful moment. You don’t necessarily always get those. If there was ever a perfect ending to a career, that right there was it."

While that certainly sounds rather final, 'Taker has felt like he was ready to retire multiple times in the past but he ultimately returned because Vince McMahon needed him. And it seems like he's still open to the possibility of doing that, even if it's not something he's considering at the moment.

"If Vince was in a pinch, would I come back?... I would have to consider that. Never say never. But at this point in my life and my career, I have no desire to get back in the ring."

After saying those words, he became a little emotional, adding that he "had a pit in his stomach", and this was then followed by a touching video package in which he thanked his WWE family for having his back over the years.

If The Undertaker has indeed quietly retired, this was certainly a major bombshell for the concluding chapter of The Last Ride to drop. But as we're usually reminded that anything can in the WWE, the question of 'one more match' will undoubtedly remain.
