WWE held a five-team tag team turmoil match on Raw Monday night to determine the next challengers for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos.

Alpha Academy, the Street Profits, Judgment Day, the OC and Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander battled during the hourlong match for a tag title shot. In a surprising reversal of roles, heel faction the Judgment Day entered at #1 and won the entire match... with some shenanigans along the way.

The purple-and-black-clad villains knocked off the OC and Benjamin & Alexander first before tangling with Alpha Academy. A Vader Bomb from Otis landed Finn Balor on the floor in agony while Damian Priest picked up the win for their team. However, Balor was medically disqualified from continuing into the final bout.

Adam Pearce offered the group a choice, which revealed the entire plot: forfeit or substitute hardened criminal and recent prison releasee Dominik Mysterio. And so you had Mysterio joining the match late and having to survive going against a fresh team of the Street Profits.

Despite Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins pulling out all the stops, it was Dom grabbing a rollup with the ropes (and an assist from Rhea Ripley) that secured the tag title shot for Judgment Day. That was a pretty perfect way to continue the storyline of the overmatched Mysterio continuing to succeed despite himself, and it sets up an odd dynamic of a heel-heel tag title match between two pretty over tag team.
