Current AEW wrestler PAC "almost quit" WWE earlier than he did due to one of the company's creative pitches.

Fellow WWE alumni Viktor (of The Ascension) told the 'Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling' podcast that the then-Neville was left disgusted by a masked gimmick the promotion's creative team wanted him to play. Viktor will never forget seeing PAC walk into the locker room holding "one of the dumbest masks I've ever seen in my life".

The Ascension man went on to say that everybody in close proximity stared in disbelief at the thing and asked, "What the f*ck is this?". Mortified by the thought of wearing it, PAC very-nearly walked out.

Bruce Prichard and others have spoken about a possible "Mighty Mouse" character that Vince had in mind for Neville - this might've been that, or it could've been a precursor. Whatever the case, it irked the guy so much that he thought about quitting.

PAC would later walk out on WWE in 2017, but didn't officially severe ties until 2018. He'd previously been the face of WWE's Cruiserweight division and 205 Live show.
