This Wrestler Has Officially Signed With AEW
Tony Khan has inked a full time deal with this occasional AEW wrestler.
Willow Nightingale is officially #AllElite.
Tony Schiavone announced the news during Friday's episode of Rampage. There, Willow beat Leila Grey (who was a replacement for scheduled opponent Penelope Ford) in a fairly routine eight-minute match. Afterwards, Schiavone entered the ring and revealed that Nightingale had signed a full-time contract with AEW.
AEW boss Tony Khan doubled down on the news by tweeting out his congratulations to Willow and saying, "Welcome to the team!". So, there you have it - Nightingale becomes the latest pro wrestler to join the ever-growing All Elite ranks.
Most fans who regularly watch shows like Rampage, Dark or Dark: Elevation would tell you that this has been a long time coming. Willow's infectious energy has captured the hearts of AEW's core audience, and she's been on the fringes of a deal with the promotion for a good while now.
In total, including Friday's effort, Nightingale has worked 24 matches for All Elite. Most of those have been losses and/or on supplementary programming like Dark/Elevation, but she's turned heads whenever she's been afforded airtime on Dynamite and Rampage.
"Welcome to the team" indeed.
