This Wrestler Says His Asking Price Would Be "Too High" For WWE

A former WWE star would like to return, but doesn't think the company could afford him.

Impact Wrestling star Eric Young doesn't think WWE would be able to afford him in 2022.

The former NXT man told VL Media that he's "always interested in making money" and "would jump at the opportunity" to rejoin Vince McMahon's promotion. However, EY said his price "would be too high" for WWE these days - he wouldn't entertain the thought of lowering it either.

Young worked for the company between 2016-2020. He's best-remembered as a key member of SAnitY on NXT, but WWE's creative team split that group up shortly after they arrived on the main roster. That decision was a death knell for Eric, and he'd never really get going on Raw or SmackDown when flying solo.

WWE released Young from contract as part of mass cuts on 15 April 2020.

Since then, Eric has rekindled his love of wrestling in Impact (which was his home for years pre-WWE), but he hasn't given up on another stab at McMahon's juggernaut. He told the website that there are loads of guys he'd "love to work with", including Seth Rollins.

That won't happen unless WWE stumps up some serious cash.
