Title Changes Hands On WWE SmackDown Tapings
It's a New Day, once again.
WWE fans in UK were treated to a rare international title change last night, as The New Day defeated The Revival for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships during the show's taping in Manchester, England.
The match was originally scheduled for last week's show, but was shifted forwards when travel chaos struck WWE's performers coming back from Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. It isn't known whether the original plan was to perform the switch last week, or if this was a special treat served up for the international audience.
The New Day - minus Xavier Woods, who was ruled out of action with an Achilles tear following a show in Australia last month - will now replace The Revival in Survivor Series' triple threat tag team match which also includes Raw and NXT equivalents The Viking Raiders and The Undisputed Era.
Elsewhere on last night's SmackDown, King Corbin defeated Roman Reigns in another match postponed from last week, courtesy of assistance from Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. The show's closing segment saw Braun Strowman and Tyson Fury join forces to bury The B-Team, to the delight of precisely nobody.
